“Grace was an amazing support throughout my labour, and the time immediately following as I tried to settle into life as much as possible. She is passionate about giving women the best possible birth experience, and I would recommend her hands down for any birth!”
Jessie N, Waterloo
“Sasha is a wonderful doula and was such an important part of my breastfeeding journey. My son was born 4 weeks early and was quite small, and I struggled immensely with breastfeeding him… Sasha was kind, patient, respectful, and very knowledgeable.
She helped me to find strength and confidence during such a difficult and vulnerable time in my life, and after working with Sasha for just a few weeks I was able to achieve my goal of breastfeeding my son (without a supplemental nursing system).
I highly recommend Sasha to anyone in need of a doula, especially with postpartum support!”
Samantha B, Guelph
“Amy is the hero you need, even if you don’t know you need her. Her kindness, empathy, knowledge, and peace of mind have been invaluable both before, during, and after my birth. So grateful to have her in my life and here for me, my husband, and my little girl. We’re so lucky to have her in our local community as a resource and support.”
Katie M, Cambridge
“Christine is one of the sweetest humans I have ever met. My husband and I took her birth hypnosis virtual class for our third home birth baby. I learned so many new amazing techniques to add to my birth toolkit.
It’s hard to know what is going to be helpful in birth, so having a variety of tools to turn to was amazing. I ended up having a fast and peaceful birth thanks to the support of Christine.”
Alyssa R, Stratford
“More than a doula, Grace is a friend. She is of course professional and courteous, but more than that- she truly cares for her clients and goes above and beyond her specified duties as a doula in order to ensure the best birth possible.
Grace is enthusiastic and knowledgeable- I have never met anyone more passionate about the birth experience. She was very well-informed and took the time to research techniques and possible complications specific to my trend of birth experiences. When there was something she didn’t know off-hand, she always researched the issue thoroughly and got back to me promptly.
Thank you Grace for your amazing support!”
Mimi F, Waterloo
“We worked with Amy as our postpartum doula and I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best decisions I ever made. As new parents in a new community, quite some distance from family and friends, having Amy in our corner eased so much of my anxiety leading up to and following the delivery of our son.
From the start she was easy to talk to - no question was ever off limits and there was never any judgment. She was a great support for me through breastfeeding (...or not), making sure I was doing basic things like eating, and getting comfortable in my new role as Mum.
But she was equally helpful to my husband as he learned how to be a supportive and involved father. Even our rescue dog Rodney (who can take a while to warm up) loved Amy.
I honestly can't recommend her support enough, I am forever grateful that she was there to help ease us into the journey of parenthood.”
Sarah A, Kitchener
“Trying to keep this short but I just can't - I received such a priceless service from Sasha at every step. I was uncertain but tentatively decided to get a doula because of serious anxieties about labor and delivery - from our first in-person encounter, Sasha completely changed my perspective on what was about to happen.
Sasha was the first person in my life to say in exact words that I could do this. She was extremely thorough ìn educating us on all the possibilities of labor and I really felt that I could trust her. Sasha went above and beyond when I was in false labor for almost 4 days, she was always available to talk and bounce thoughts off of.
On the day that I went into real labor, I had been in back labor for 12 hours, and mine and my husband's spirits were very low. From the moment Sasha arrived, her encouraging presence was immediately uplifting. She was hands-on helping to manage pain for every single contraction, and she supported me to labor at home for as long as possible.
In postpartum, she was the only professional or support person who said what I needed to hear about breastfeeding when I was struggling. Having a doula was the service I didn’t know I would need so badly. Thank you for everything Sasha!”
Renee G, Kitchener
“We hired Grace for the homebirth of our third daughter. She was a wonderful positive presence and was great with my 3 year old who was present for the birth. She explained what was happening to her and kept her involved. She worked well with our midwives and was a wonderful addition to our birth team.
She made me tea and breakfast right after the birth and made sure that everyone was cared for. I would highly recommend Grace as a doula at your birth, she has a calming nature and will help to make your birthing experience a positive one.”
Kyla M, Kitchener
“Christine offered amazing postpartum support! Her visits felt like we had a super helpful big sister in our home, and made a challenging time seem much smoother.
She has such a calming, friendly presence that we immediately felt comfortable with her, and I completely trusted her to care for my baby while I had a much-needed nap or shower.
She went above and beyond during each visit, doing whatever was most helpful that day (errand or food pick up, laundry, dishes, tidying, helping with my toddler) and remembering our preferences.
Christine was also a great resource for all things birth and parenting related, from birth recovery to helping toddlers adjust, and for all the big feelings that come with the postpartum period.
Trust me when I say that every postpartum family needs Christine in their life!”
