Birth and Baby Blooms Single Day Prenatal Education
A one-day prenatal class that gives you the knowledge, confidence, and skills to prepare for birth and your new baby.
November 30th, 9 am - 3 pm (with 45 minute lunch break)
At Embark Physical Therapy in Waterloo
This class gives you:
Evidence-based birth education (clear, honest, digestible)
Practical comfort techniques you’ll actually use in labour
Self-advocacy tools to make aligned decisions
Realistic newborn care guidance that reduces overwhelm
A warm, supportive group atmosphere so you don’t have to figure this out alone
What You’ll Learn
1. How Birth Works
We’ll walk through the stages of labour and what to expect:
what your body is doing, how to work with it, and how to know what phase you’re in.
You’ll also learn how your partner or support person can help in useful ways.
2. Your Options
Induction, pain relief, monitoring, Cesarean birth, assisted birth — explained clearly and neutrally.
You’ll receive information that helps you choose what feels right for you when the time comes.
3. The First Hours & Days With Baby
What to expect right after birth, newborn procedures, postpartum recovery, and how to support your healing physically and emotionally.
4. Newborn Care You Can Feel Confident In
Feeding basics (all feeding methods welcome), soothing cues, sleep rhythms, and what’s truly normal.
Including a take-home workbook with:
Birth preferences worksheets
Postpartum support plan guides
Feeding + soothing reference pages
Local + online resource list
